Dear MendMeShop,

Things are going well with my healing sessions. I had it three times daily with each session lasting 20 minutes maximum for two weeks. I noticed reduction of pain in my third day using the Inferno Wrap. In my Second week I reduced the sessions to just one (20 Minute) per day. The pain is almost gone except when I make a wrong and abrupt move on or of my right (problematic) shoulder. Hopefully, I do not have to use the Freeze Wrap this summer when I do most of my heavy yard work, but I am assured that there is this cold treatment if in case I hurt my shoulder again. I now have decided not to have an MRI on my shoulder and undergo more expensive treatments or therapy from my specialist ortho doctor . I think his diagnosis of "Frozen shoulder" or possible rotator cup tear are correct. I will be watching my progress and if condition gets worse, I will call him again for appointment. But for the mean time, I am satisfied with my Inferno Wrap treatment on myself. I am glad to have save time and money at least for now. Thanks again for your wonderful products and support. Warm Regards to your Team. P.S. In a follow up email Jesse sent us later in the year, Jesse indicated the Inferno wrap did wonders... it's been almost nine months ago since I purchased your products. I am happy to let you know as today that my frozen shoulder is no longer an issue. I believed in less than a month of continuous therapy sessions per your instructions on the product my pain is gone.

Heal Your Plantar
Combine Cold Compression, Ultrasound and
Blood Flow Stimulation Home Therapies!

Ease plantar pain with the MendMeShop Therapeutic Ultrasound Kit

The plantar, which literally means "bottom of the foot", is supported by a shock absorber called the fascia, the tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes, and supports your arch. Plantar fasciitis (pronounced "PLAN-ter fash-ee-EYE-tus") is an inflammation of this connective tissue. Generally, plantar fasciitis affects athletes and people over 40 years of age. The stabbing pain, particularly first thing in the morning, gradually gets better throughout the day as the fascia stretches out, will affect your ability to work and be active. And for most people they will try to compensate for this by distributing their weight elsewhere on the foot which can put your knees, hips and back at risk.

Plantar fasciitis is caused by excessive wear and tear on the fascia, which in this case means the condition is a repetitive strain injury (RSI). Throughout the day the fascia supports the arch of the foot in carrying the weight of the body. Sometimes, when the impact is too great, tiny tears will appear in the fascia. If the impact level continues unchanged, in time these tears will become inflamed.

The good news is there are many steps you can take right in your own home to speed your recovery time and prevent this condition from reoccurring all you need is the right information, the right tools, and the right attitude.

Plantar fasciitis is considered a self-limiting condition, which means you can control the pain and the progression of the condition by making some simple changes to your lifestyle. For example, improper shoes such as high heels and training too hard too suddenly can put excessive strain on the plantar fascia. However, sometimes plantar fasciitis is related to other conditions like faulty foot mechanics such as being flat footed or having a high arch which affects the way you walk and run. Some other related conditions include: arthritis, can cause inflammation in the tendons in the bottom of your foot; heel spurs, can actually be caused by plantar fasciitis; and diabetes, there are higher occurrences of plantar fasciitis in those who have diabetes.

Treatments for plantar fasciitis are aimed at reducing inflammation, pain, increasing the fascia's range of motion, and speeding recovery time. A speedy and effective recovery should be your highest priority, not only so you can return to a high level of performance, but also because prolonged injuries can lead to scar tissue and a higher risk of re-injury.

Dear Mend Me Shop,

I had Plantar Fasciitis for 6 months and had been to a podiatrist and orthopedic surgeon. All the calf stretching, night socks, and even the expensive orthopedic inserts in my shoes had not helped at all. I found the Mend Me Shop online and they suggested the ultrasound therapy. I was very skeptical, especially since the podiatrist had given me ultrasound twice a week for 6 weeks, and it had not helped.

I decided to try it because I was in such pain. I used it three times a day for two weeks, as suggested and felt relief after 4 days! I could not believe it. The specialists at the Mend Me Shop have given me far more specifics as to how I should stretch and what is going on with my foot than either doctor did. They also did not push all their products, but just the one that they felt would help my situation the most. I just finished the first three weeks of treatment and I feel about 90% healed. There is no pain when I first get up in the morning, nor when I wear my shoes with orthodics. I am starting one more round of ultrasound to heal it completely.

My husband is also using it for his tennis elbow and he cannot believe that it is getting better after having it for a year! I could not recommend Mend Me Shop or their products more highly.

At the onset of plantar fasciitis immediate measures should be taken in order to avoid serious damage. Ignoring the symptoms, thinking they will go away naturally and continuing with activities that cause foot pain, will certainly lead to more serious problems in the future.

To control pain in the initial stages of the injury the application of cold compression therapy can help slow tissue damage. Our Freezie Wraps are made of the highest quality materials available. They fit perfectly, stay in place, are extremely durable, and use a special gel formulation to maintain the cold. The gel pack inside the Plantar/Spur Freezie Wrap™ is a thick gel pack that cools in the fridge, not the freezer. This provides cold compression therapy at a safe temperature, and the thickness of the gel gives the wrap tremendous cooling capacity. You will get effective cooling therapy for the entire 15-20 minute treatment, providing your sore, swollen plantar the pain relief it needs.

This can be further helped by the use of ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly and increases blood flow to the area.

Ultrasound dramatically reduces inflammation and swelling in the injured area. You need to reduce the swelling and stimulate the blood flow so your plantar gets the nutrition and oxygen it needs to properly heal. Inflammation around the area can create extreme pain and reduce your ability to move.

Once the severe swelling and inflammation has been reduced, the Inferno Wrap's Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy will give you healing energy waves that stimulate blood flow. This speeds up healing and clears away the toxins causing the pain. Furthermore, you can use the Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap™ that will provide deep penetrating heat to help limber the fascia before stretching the area in the morning and throughout the day.

Dear MendMeShop,

At the end of the 2009 school year, (I'm a teacher) I developed plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I remember literally being in agony the last day of school and calling my orthopedic surgeon for an emergency appointment. He saw me, prescribed ice, supportive shoes, and offered to give me a shot of corticosteroid. He informed me that the shot might help but it also might make it worse! Needless to say, with that comment, I passed on the shot.

I was really having a hard time with the pain. I began to search on the internet to find out all I could about plantar facsciitis and possible regimens to follow to aleviate my problem.. One site led to another and I finally found MendMeShop. MendMeShop offered a foot wrap that sounded like the perfect way to ice my foot. The plantar Freezie gel pack didn't freeze solid and the wrap molded perfectly to my foot. It certainly beat a tub full of hard ice! After that, I began researching the little ultrasound machine offered at MendMeShop. I was a little afraid of the price, but decided, after reading many testimonials, to invest in something many said worked well for them.

I used the ultrasound regularly with great success along with the plantar Freezie. Following the directions in the ultrasound box, (I also got a phone call from MendMeShop to help me with the machine) I felt a great deal of difference in the level of pain in my foot after just a couple of days treatment.

The condition is now gone from my right foot. I routinely exercise fairly vigorously including jogging on the treadmill. I would never have been able to do that last summer! My husband and I continue to use the ultrasound on sore tendons and muscle spasms. The ultrasound was a bit of an investment, but who can put a price on freedom from pain?

Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy

You can help your body repair itself by speeding its natural healing process using an Inferno Wrap™. The Inferno Wrap's patented design delivers the most effective Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy you can find.

Inferno Wraps stimulate blood flow

During normal activities, the movement promotes blood flow through our body. Our body responds to the movement by sending oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the muscles, joints, tendons and other soft tissue in the body.

When at rest, the blood flow to your tendons is greatly reduced. Unfortunately, when your tendon is injured it requires rest but it also needs the blood flow to promote the healing process. Since you can't work your tendon without danger of further injury, you need to stimulate the blood flow another way.

Our innovative Inferno Wrap™ gives you the best Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy available. The Inferno Wrap™ creates energy waves that stimulate blood flow by penetrating through the outer layers of your body. The energy waves reach deep into your muscles, tendons and cartilage, reducing your pain as they heal the inner tissue.

An Inferno Wrap™ gives you unparalleled blood flow stimulation to your injured tendon. You simply won't find a comparable product on the market. Other therapy products can not come close to offering the comfortable, contoured fit and targeted energy treatment an Inferno Wrap™ provides.

You will experience a soothing, penetrating warmth deep in the tissue as it works to stimulate your blood flow, we guarantee it. Now you can reduce your pain and heal yourself with the comfortable, light weight Inferno Wrap™.

Success

The Inferno Wrap™ provides effective, non-invasive, non-addictive pain relief with no side effects.

When your tendon has healed somewhat and it comes time for more aggressive rehabilitation, stretching and activity, Blood Flow Stimultation Therapy warms the muscles in the injured area which increases range of motion and allows for a safer more thorough stretch.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Ultrasound Therapy is also a great tool for pain prevention of tendonitis or healing a tendon tear, and having a therapeutic ultrasound device at home can be a powerful and convenient treatment tool. If you have symptoms of tendonitis or are recovering from a tendon injury, using ultrasound on a regular basis before your activity or throughout the day will help relax your tendons and muscles, diminish pain and inflammation, soften scar tissue and contribute greatly to the healing of your injury.

Therapeutic Ultrasound heats and massages your soft tissue giving you three primary benefits. First, it increases blood flow in the treated area which speeds your body's natural healing process. Second, it reduces swelling and edema which are the main sources of pain. Third, ultrasound softens existing scar tissue and minimizes the build up of new scar tissue resulting in reduced pain while healing and greater flexibility once healing is complete.

Eucalyptus...
It's in our Gel!

Ultrasound can also be used to administer therapeutic medicines into the body. This is a process known as phonophoresis. Ultrasound with Phonophoresis is rapidly becoming more popular than Ultrasound Therapy alone.

It's in our gel too!

Our MendMeShop Lavender Infusion Gel is the only topical therapeutic gel that is also a Phonophoretic Ultrasound Gel. It is made with natural medical ingredients including eucalyptus, peppermint, Bulgarian lavender and menthol. These effective ingredients have anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, decongestant, and circulatory stimulant properties. When applied topically and massaged into the skin, MendMeShop Lavender Infusion Gel relieves pain and speeds healing without any side-effects.

Cold Compression Therapy

Our cold compression wraps work by interrupting and slowing nerve and cell function in the area of your injured tendon. Once blood vessels are damaged they can no longer carry oxygenated blood to the damaged tissue and therefore cells begin to break-down. The deep cold provided by our cold compression wraps slows cell function thereby reducing cellular break-down. Furthermore, because the cold wraps serve to numb the nerves, the wraps also reduce pain!

We have noticed over time that our customers are so fond of our cold wraps that they are frequently coming back and ordering a second one - this way they can cool one while wearing the other. The wraps are becoming very popular with baseball and soccer trainers, and the wraps can be conveniently stored in a cooler for quick application on the field when needed.

Always allow the injured area to return to normal body temperature between hot and cold treatments by waiting 60-90 minutes before applying a different therapy.

Dear MendMeShop,

I've used both the Knee Inferno Wrap and the Freezie Wrap. The Freezee wrap has been of most help in reducing inflammation and pain. The doctor discovered a torn meniscus via MRI, and subsequent x-rays show significant arthritis, so it's going to be a total knee replacement situation. I anticipate using your products during recovery after surgery. Thanks very much.
